And demons definitely won’t encourage people to get away from sin, bondage and hindrance, and to have any chance to get close to God, to serve the church and people. Regarding discernment for such spiritual phenomenon, those who benefit from the divine intervention or deliverance who experience physical healing and mental renewal, will praise God and follow Christ by serving in church. Although, no exact wording for divine intervention or divine deliverance in the Bible. But it is what happen after they encountered such divine intervention or deliverance, which helping brethren for their christian living. The way Bible described healing and deliverance might not be in a way about how human’s physical and emotional response when they receive mental and physical renewal. Healing and deliverance is a form of prophecy, says your illness, weakness or evil spirits will leave the person after the prayer. The Bible does mention both speaking in tongues and prophecy are related. I turned again and, losing sight of the fear of man, I went through the house shouting and exhorting with all possible ecstasy and energy, and the floor was soon covered with the slain”-people were falling in ecstasy.” Someone (probably his Presbyterian brother) reminded him this was a Presbyterian church the congregation would not condone emotionalism! Later John recalled, “I turned to go back and was near falling the power of God was strong upon me. Methodist John McGee, seemingly entranced, made his way to comfort her. Then the woman who had first started shouting let out a shrill of anguish. Possible roots as to how the term (Slain in the Spirit) may have developed can be traced to the Revival of 1800 at Cane Bridge, which was led by Methodist preacher John McGee in a Presbyterian church: “Methodist John rose to preach a witness said he exhorted people to let “the Lord God omnipotent reign in their hear ts, and to submit to him.” People began to cry and shout. Divine intervention or divine deliverance should be the better term to describe the phenomenon during healing and deliverance, rather than “Slain in the Spirit”.
