![]() This will bring new Krone vehicles and other accessories to ETS2, plus Krone’s Werlte production plant in Germany will become a new in-game destination. Krone is a vehicle trailer manufacturer and though the Krone Trailer Pack DLC was released way back in 2018 SCS Software is bringing further updates via v1.45. ![]() Small quality of life improvements but time-savers when out on the open road. Rain sensors and inaccessible road markersĪutomatic rain-sensing window wipers will also be implemented into ETS2, with another UI option to mark inaccessible roads on the in-game map. However, SCS Software has moved to mitigate these issues by making it far easier to join a host’s online session even if you do not have the same third-party mods installed. Often, players would be denied access to their friends’ online trucking sessions due to mod mismatches or through simply not having the same mods installed. Hanover and Austrian cities are only available at this stage, but more will be introduced in future.Ĭonvoy is ETS2’s multiplayer mode. These full-motion video intros appear when players select a starting city with a new profile. We have previously mentioned ETS2’s upcoming Hanover rework, featuring an extensively detailed Hanover Fairgrounds location, but the v1.45 open beta will also add custom city intros for the newly upgraded city, as well as for the recently reworked Austria. Hanover Euro Truck Simulator 2 v1.45 open beta new features Hanover rework and custom city intros We’ll talk you through all the news below. I bought it, they didn’t.Soon after, SCS Software – developers of both American Truck Simulator (ATS) and Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS2) – also announced the v1.45 open beta for ETS2 was live, adding a host of features to the venerable European-themed truck sim.Īs well as the v1.45 open beta, yesterday (7 th July 2022) SCS Software announced a tie-in with cast steel trailer coupling manufacturer JOST, bringing the firm’s products to the sim as a free update. I’ll get to drive around in ‘the three Baltic states of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, and also south of Finland and parts of Russia including Russia’s second largest city Saint Petersburg.’ My decision now is to whether I want to share my new baby (trailer) with the other two drivers. They are also working on the next DLC: Beyond the Baltic Sea - which I eagerly anticipate. The shuffling around of trailers, as well as trucks, now adds a whole new dimension to the immersion in Euro Truck Simulator 2. ![]() Overall, I was super impressed with the Krone Trailer Pack. May as well deck out the truck while you’re doing the same with the trailers. Finally, there are also rear bumpers and mudflaps. There are parts I can get for my front and rear chassis. ![]() Naturally, KRONE dealerships - as well as all kinds of hubs and in-cabin accessories (coolers, pennants, caps, coffee mugs, etc). There are all kinds of other cool stuff added in the Krone Trailer Pack as well. It’s not that I beat up or trash other people’s trailers in the slightest ( I’ve never had more than two percent damage ), however it did make me a liiiittle more aware of the extra 13.62 meters of metal behind me. I figured that about four and a half hours was enough time to get used to it. Instead, I opted for a 232 km trip, hauling graphite grease, from my base in Köln to Kassel, Germany. ![]() There were two, tiny, weenie runs I could have taken to test out my new addition, each about nine minutes. I’ll just have to put that on hiatus so I can play around with my new trailer first. The ten loads are doable enough, except for one thing - you can’t use your own trailer for event-specific hauls. This time, the goal is to transport fifteen million tons of goods from Germany to ten different countries, with all runs having to be over 300 km. Just as has happened before, I’m in the middle of a review and a contest for World of Trucks crops up. It’s a three-axle (one liftable) curtainsider that can carry ‘general and dry goods’ - meaning no construction equipment, refrigerated/frozen goods or anything needing insulation. Of course, I had to buy the cheapest - a Profi Liner - which is a good start. Luckily, I already had enough money to buy one when I received the Krone DLC. My goal is to eventually own all of the trailers, plus enough of them for my other drivers as well. Just like the trucks, there are also many customization options as well. When you take a job, provided you have the correct trailer, you can opt to use your own rather than one supplied by the company which has hired you for their contract. Now you can buy and manage your own trailers. ![]()
